Last Minute Low Budget Productions raises most of its money for productions and overhead with two annual fundraising events.

Many people in South Brewster County have built (or are building) their own homes, often using styles and building methods appropriate to the area. On the last Sunday of January every year, the Terlingua Home Tour gives people a chance to visit 4-5 of these beautiful homes and visit with their owners/builders. Local outfitters generously donate vans and drivers, and the tour is followed by a reception with wine and hors d'oeuvres. Reservations are highly recommended, as this event usually sells out. Check back here in January to make reservations for the 2014 Home Tour. Take a look at the 2012 Home Tour with LMLB board member Vonu Glaves' photos here.
Many thanks to the Terlingua Preservation Foundation, which created this event and bequeathed it to us, to all the homeowners over the years who have graciously allowed us to include their homes, and to LMLB board members Martha Stafford and Elizabeth Thompson, who make it happen.

So, pretend you are a river guide.  You and your guests have just passed through Santa Elena or Boquillas Canyon and have pulled onto the bank to spend the night.  Or you just rode in with your hungry city slickers.  You need to have a dessert.  You have no electricity, propane, gasoline, or battery power to use in preparing your dessert.  What is a guide to do?  Thus began the Terlingua Cookie Chill Off. We didn't start this one either, but we're proud to keep it going. Always in the spring, the actual date varies - we'll let you know when the 2014 Chill-Off is coming up.
